A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Biography

South Carolina is my home, and almost every important landmark event in my life has occurred in this state.

I grew up in the upstate and still love the area so much. But having lived in Charleston for twice as long as I lived in Simpsonville, I love the lowcountry just as much.

I've always been drawn to imagery and absorbed my dad's stack of National Geographic Magazines as a child. Although I earned a degree in Music Education, worked as a public school music teacher, and have also served as a youth ministry director, my heart has always belonged to visual art and photography in particular.

I'm a professional, a wife, and a mom to three adults, five fur babies, and eleven chickens.

ABOUT MY PROCESS

My Work

I am a boutique photographer specializing in portraiture. My goal is to create portraits worthy of framing and decorating the walls of homes and offices.

Each photo session is designed to reflect the essence of the subjects in a way that evokes emotion.

My process is uncommon. I include my clients in the planning of their portrait session and follow that with a positive photographic experience. I then present their images personally, and help them with the actual placement of their photographic art within the spaces they have chosen for display.

I believe firmly in the power of the printed image, and I desire all people to have heirloom quality photographic art their families and friends will cherish for generations. 

I truly love people, and it is a joy to capture their relationships to each other and to themselves as a reminder to them each day how incredibly and wonderfully unique we all are.
