A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Biography

South Carolina is my home, and almost every important landmark event in my life has occurred in this state.

I grew up in the upstate and still love the area so much. But having lived in Charleston for twice as long as I lived in Simpsonville, I love the lowcountry just as much.

I've always been drawn to imagery and absorbed my dad's stack of National Geographic Magazines as a child. Although I earned a degree in Music Education, worked as a public school music teacher, and have also served as a youth ministry director, my heart has always belonged to visual art and photography in particular.

I'm a professional, a wife, and a mom to three adults, five fur babies, and eleven chickens.

ABOUT MY PROCESS

My Work

I specialize in portrait work and have had over 20 years of experience photographing individuals and families in a variety of settings both indoor and out.

I pride myself in having a skill set which includes working with off camera lighting, directing and posing subjects, creating interesting composition, and utilizing locations in unique ways.

I also have had 10 years experience shooting live concerts, and over 4 years shooting live action sports events.

My range of experience and constant quest to learn more about my craft has given me what I need in order to create imagery with impact.
